Desk Construction

Desk Surfaces Joined

Two wing tops are joined at a 45° angle to make a symmetrical desk (65" on both sides for the InterActive Desk and 60" for the InterActive Compact Desk).
  • Alignment plates to prevent any vertical shearing action
  • Multiple tite-joint fittings of unsurpassed strength
  • Infinite tightening adjustment capability (typical designs use some sort of 1/4 turn cam lock which can loosen up with use)
  • A 200 pound person can sit in the middle without any sag
  • Structurally rigid

Legs and Surfaces Joined
  • No cheap wood screws into particleboard
  • Tops are embedded with machine threaded inserts
  • Steel machine bolts attach the legs to the inserts
  • All fittings are located by computerized routing equipment
  • Hardware is already embedded in the delivered desk
  • Only a common phillips screw driver is required for assembly

Desk and Tables Joined

  • Side tables are joined with rigid, steel system plates
  • Machine screws connect the plates in inserts
  • Tops can be disconnected repeatedly without degradation
  • Corner Table and Peninsula Table are free standing

InterActive Desk Shelves and Legs
  • Shelves are joined to the desk with rugged steel tubes.
  • Pre-fitted high strength machine threaded connectors
  • Low profile, bronze finished hex bolts
  • Smooth plastic inserts protect desk surface
  • Very rigid shelf, accepts heaviest storage objects
  • Accessories can be securely mounted off legs
