Fabrics for RFM Chairs
WorkSpaces offers a wide variety of fabrics, faux leather, ultrasuede and leather for chairs manufactured by RFM. If you are comparing chairs, consider the Wyzenbeek Double Rub abrasion rating for the fabrics. In general, the fabrics we offer for RFM chairs range from 100,000 to over 1,000,000 Double Rubs, indicating excellent durability.The ProTask chairs are two-day "Quick Ship" and thus show a limited range of fabrics. However, they also can be ordered in other fabrics with the standard 10 business day turn around.
Additional fabrics are available so please ask if you don't see what you are looking for. The Customer's Own Material (COM) option is available for large orders.
All seating complies with California Technical Bulletin 117 flame retardant standards.

Grade B Fabrics
Tuffcloth
- Heavy Duty Upholstery. 250,000 Double Rubs.
- 100% Marquesa Lana. Teflon finish.
- Solid (slight heather) colors, woven texture.
- Clean with water-based cleaning agents, foam or pure water-free solvents.
Fortune
- Heavy Duty Upholstery. 1,700,000 Double Rubs.
- 100% Polyester. Blockaide finish.
- Solid colors, slight texture.
- Clean with water-based cleaning agents, foam or pure water-free solvents.
Enigma
- Heavy Duty Upholstery. 85,000 Double Rubs.
- 60% Nylon, 40% Polyester. Blockaide finish.
- Jagged swirl pattern.
- For water-based stains, use water cleaning agents. For oil-based stains, use solvent cleaners.
Wildcat
- Heavy Duty Upholstery. 85,000 Double Rubs.
- 63% Nylon, 37% Polyester. Teflon finish.
- Tone on tone pattern.
- For water-based stains, use water cleaning agents. For oil-based stains, use solvent cleaners.
Grade C Fabrics
Wit
- Heavy Duty Upholstery. 385,000 Double Rubs.
- 96% Polyester, 4% Nylon. Acrylic backing. Teflon finish.
- Solid colors, small woven non-directional pattern.
- Clean with only pure, water-free solvents.
Foundation
- Heavy Duty Upholstery. Exceeds 1,000,000 Double Rubs.
- 100% Recycled Polyester. No backing.
- Solid colors.
- Clean with water-based cleaning agents, foam or pure water-free solvents.
Faux Leather (Grade F)
Quintessence
- Heavy Duty Upholstery. Exceeds 1,000,000 Double Rubs.
- 100% Polyurethane. 100% Rayon backing.
- Solid colors, minimal texture.
- Use water-based cleaner: spot clean, using the foam only for a water-based cleaning agent such as a mild detergent or non-solvent upholstery shampoo product.
Santa Ana
- Heavy Duty Upholstery. Exceeds 500,000 Double Rubs.
- 100% Polyurethane (breathable). Polyester/Cotton backing.
- Solid colors, some texture.
- Use water-based or solvent cleaner: spot clean with a mild solvent, an upholstery shampoo or the foam from a mild detergent.
Ultrasuede (Grade G)
Ultrasuede
- Heavy Duty Upholstery. Exceeds 200,000 Double Rubs.
- 100% Polyester Ultra-Microfiber non-woven with non-fibrous polyurethane binder.
- Soft, plush suede hand with excellent colorfastness.
- Inherently stain resistant, most stains can be removed with water and a mild detergent. When required (e.g., oil-based stains), use a mild cleaning fluid.
Leather (Grade L)
Leather
- 100% aniline through dyed top grain Leather.
- Color pigmented protective finish. Even coloration throughout all parts of the hide. Ultimate color consistency from hide to hide.
- Smooth look, soft hand, luxurious feel.
- For spills or soiling, wipe with a dry or lightly moistened piece of soft cloth. Use a cleaner only for stubborn spots. Never use saddlesoap or ivory soap and water solutions. Never soak the leather with water or any other cleaning agents. Condition once or twice a year to preserve softness and provide protection from dust and liquids.
