Comment: Hand planed, none of the table was sanded; the matching end table had alternating walnut and rosewood so you could play chess. The joints interlock.

Comment: Table had two leaves; both pieces were all solid hardwood, no veneers or panels. Finger joinery used on casework.

Comment: Camera distorts the image; table was true ellipse; the center oval permits the fan of veneers to meet without needing to be perfect.


Client’s Office Bldg. Spagetti Railing

Comment: There were no square edges anywhere on this railing or the cap. No plywood, all solids.

Comment: Joint has interlocking tenons; all three pieces must be precisely cut to mate flush to each other without gap; no joint has ever loosened. Solid oak no veneers.
